Trusting God In Trying Times
Psalm 20:7; Proverbs 3:5-6
Introduction: Life for all of us can be trying. Trusting God in trying times is not automatic. It is a learned principle that for many of us takes years.
Sometimes trusting God is more difficult than obeying God. I want us to consider four steps in developing a life that really knows the joy of "Trust in the Lord."
I. the model for our trust
. . . Trust in the Lord
II. the measure of our trust
. . . With all your heart; in all your ways
iii. the mistakes in our trust
. . . do not lean on your own understanding
iv. the miracle of our trust
. . . He will make your paths straight
Conclusion: May it be said of us what the Psalmist said, "In you they trusted and were not disappointed."
